1
The Triune God
We believe in one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are one God, equal in glory, majesty, power, and deity. God created all things out of nothing and continues to sustain, govern, and uphold all things by His sovereign power.
Genesis 1:1–2; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1–3; Colossians 1:16–17; 2 Corinthians 13:14
2
God the Father
We believe in God the Father, the first Person of the Holy Trinity, eternally one in essence, glory, and majesty with the Son and the Holy Spirit. He is the sovereign Creator of heaven and earth, who lovingly sustains, governs, and directs all things according to His perfect wisdom and holy will. Before the foundation of the world, the Father graciously chose a people for Himself in Christ and, in the fullness of time, sent His eternal Son into the world to accomplish their redemption. Through faith in Jesus Christ, believers are forgiven, adopted as His children, and invited to approach Him as their loving heavenly Father. He disciplines His children for their good, provides for their needs, hears their prayers, and preserves them by His grace. All things are from Him, through Him, and for His glory.
Genesis 1:1; Matthew 6:9–13; John 3:16–17; Ephesians 1:3–6; Romans 8:14–17; Hebrews 12:5–11; James 1:17
3
Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, who is truly God and truly man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. In His incarnation, He took upon Himself a true human nature while remaining fully divine, two natures united in one person.
We believe that during His earthly life, Jesus lived in perfect obedience to the Father and was without sin. He willingly died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for sinners, bearing our sins, satisfying the wrath of God, and accomplishing redemption for all who believe in Him.
Matthew 1:18–25; John 1:14; Philippians 2:5–11; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Peter 2:22–24
4
The Death, Resurrection, Ascension, and Reign of Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, and rose bodily from the dead on the third day. He ascended into heaven, where He reigns at the right hand of the Father as Lord, Savior, Mediator, and King.
1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11; Colossians 1:15–20
5
Salvation
We believe that all people are sinners by nature and by choice and are unable to save themselves. The wages of sin is death, but God, in His mercy, has provided salvation through Jesus Christ alone.
We believe that salvation is by God’s grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. Those who repent of sin and trust in Christ are forgiven, justified before God, adopted as His children, and given eternal life. This salvation is not earned by human works but is the free gift of God, resulting in a life of obedience and good works prepared by God.
John 3:16; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8–10; Titus 3:5
6
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates sinners, indwells believers, seals them for the day of redemption, empowers them for ministry, guides them into truth, produces spiritual fruit, and equips the Church for faithful service.
John 14:26; John 16:7–14; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9–11; Galatians 5:22–23; Ephesians 1:13–14
7
The Holy Scriptures
We believe that the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. Scripture is the final authority for all matters of faith, doctrine, worship, and Christian living. God’s Word is true, sufficient, living, and active, and it is the light by which His people are taught, corrected, and guided.
Psalm 119:105; 2 Timothy 3:16–17; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20–21
8
The Return of Christ and Final Judgment
We believe in the visible, bodily, and glorious return of Jesus Christ to earth. He will judge the living and the dead, defeat all evil, and establish the fullness of His eternal kingdom.
Matthew 24:29–31; Acts 1:10–11; Revelation 20:11–15
9
The Sanctity of Human Life
We believe that all human life is sacred because every person is created in the image and likeness of God. Therefore, human life is worthy of dignity, love, respect, and protection from conception to natural death.
Genesis 1:26–27; Psalm 139:13–16
10
The Church
We believe in the Church, the body of Christ, composed of all true believers. The Church exists to worship God, proclaim the gospel, disciple believers, administer biblical fellowship and service, and bear witness to Christ in the world.
We believe that believers are called to gather faithfully, encourage one another, use their gifts for the building up of the body, and live together under the lordship of Christ.
Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:42–47; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Ephesians 4:11–16; Hebrews 10:24–25
11
Marriage and Moral Obedience
We believe in the sanctity of marriage as ordained by God and defined in Scripture as the covenant union of one man and one woman. We believe that God’s design for marriage reflects His created order and points to the relationship between Christ and His Church.
We also believe that every believer is called to obey God’s moral law, not as a means of earning salvation, but as the fruit of faith and love for Christ. Therefore, Christians are called to present themselves to God, pursue holiness, flee sexual immorality, and live in a manner worthy of the gospel.
Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6; Romans 12:1–2; 1 Corinthians 6:18–20; Ephesians 5:22–33; 1 Thessalonians 4:3–8
12
The Great Commission
We believe that Jesus Christ has commanded His Church to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to obey all that He has commanded. Therefore, the Church is called to evangelism, missions, discipleship, and faithful witness in the power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the gospel must be proclaimed so that people may hear, believe, and call upon the name of the Lord.
Matthew 28:18–20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:14–17
13
Prayer and Spiritual Warfare
We believe in the power and necessity of prayer. We believe that believers are engaged in spiritual warfare and are called to stand firm in the Lord, put on the full armor of God, resist the devil, and remain faithful through prayer, Scripture, and dependence upon God.
We believe that Christians are called to pray according to the will of God, bring their requests before Him with thanksgiving, and take every thought captive in obedience to Christ.
Matthew 6:9–13; 2 Corinthians 10:3–5; Ephesians 6:10–18; Philippians 4:6–7; James 5:16; 1 Peter 5:8–9
14
Resurrection and Eternal Destiny
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead. The righteous, by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, will enter into eternal joy in the presence of God. The wicked, remaining under judgment because of sin, will face eternal punishment. God will make all things new, and His people will dwell with Him forever.
Daniel 12:2; John 5:28–29; 1 Corinthians 15:20–26; 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18; Revelation 21:1–4; Revelation 22:1–5
